Definitely needed a Sandwich after!
Really lovely event! Really scenic along the river but the stretch down the road to the turning point is a bit lackluster view-wise. I did however love cheering on my friends as we passed each other at these points so it made it worth it!
100% doing it again next year!!
Rhona Fry

Another fantastic event!
As always, Sporting Events have the best organised running events and today was no exception. Everything from number collection to getting the medal and water at the finish was really smooth. All the volunteers and staff are so friendly and helpful.

Well organised
I particularly liked the staggered start in waves so that we started with people of similar speed. Very well marshalled although there were finishers blocking the path near the end and it took a moment to work out that we had to run further up the road to enter the field at the end. Overall, though, an excellent event that I would do again.

Nice little starter event for people.
With the expected heat maybe move the water point to an area where runners cross multiplying chances to get water, or add a second. Possibly one in town and one at the bottom by the turn around point. A lot of traffic on roads, particularly for tail runners on first event.
Thanks for the great feedback. The water station was at 1 mile and you pass it again at about 4 miles as well. The temperature was around 19C, so we felt two opportunities was good coverage on that. Not all the roads are closed for this event, so will vary for all runners with some localised traffic. However, all done in a very safe way.

A bite sized race
I absolutely love this race because it is mostly flat and guaranteed to be fast. It is a total feast for the eyes, taking you on a gorgeous, picturesque journey right through the heart of our historic medieval town. You get to fly past the ancient Barbican, cruise along the beautiful River Stour, and soak up the views through the town centre.
Definitely one to add to your running calendar.
