Great start but some parts unsafe
Very slippery and not safe in places due to waterlogged paths and boggy grass (I took a fall around 4k mark). The staff however were great and supportive and HQ was very organised. Would def run this again in warmer weather! My daughter loved her 1st run in the 1 miler
Dan Gay
Good fun. Tight turns and two railway bridges!
I really enjoyed this race but wondered if there should be more signs to the good people of Whitstable that an organised run was happening - yes, I was shouted at by a dog walker. But great effort by the volunteers and thanks.
Ellie Hone
Sadly not a fan of this race.
Negatives
Far too many pedestrians and loose dogs
Congested on the narrow path
Unexpected steps
Yes we should expect mud this time of year but I'm not a trail runner and wouldn't have entered if I'd known.
Route map should be available
Positives
Fab atmosphere as always at a Sporting Events race
Friendly, encouraging marshals
Great medal
HQ in a super spot.
Valerie Pearce
Great event, very enjoyable, great atmosphere.
Leigh Sylvester
Great race
Friendly marshals & Volunteers
Great medal, well organised
A bit of everything on the route, Was busy with public using area as well but can’t be helped as a nice place, enjoyed my run.
Charles Scott
Good organisation,
A bit slippy in places and too many careless dog owners around! But the event HQ was great, Marshalls brilliant and it was fun.
Brenda Brooks
Outstanding atmosphere, great organisation. Warm and friendly staff.
It was my first competitive race. I was really impressed l would definitely be back next year. Your event was an excellent advert Whitstable. Thank you.
Rafael Pomadere
Great event, great organisation by friendly people!
Slightly too muddy in the last 1.5 miles.
Trevor McCarthy
Very nice run and well organised
Nice course with a bit of everything.. a tad muddy at times but mostly path. Lovely scenery and atmosphere

Fantabulous
Really can’t big this event up any enough. Loved the location the volunteers and everything in general. Thank you to everyone involved
Nicky Raeburn
Well organised, mix of terrain, nice course
Tricky in places where pathway narrowed, with pedestrians and runners coming from other direction.
Muddy in places which is to be expected at this time of year.
Steven Twiddle
Great new event, would love to see it on the 2027 calendar.
It was a bit tight for space at times. Maybe an earlier start would reduce the number of other path users (walkers, dog walkers). Really good event though, thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the 3 races.

Varied terrain race in a lovely location, but busy with pedestrians
Unfortunately the seafront was busy with pedestrians for February due to the good weather, which made the second half of the race on narrower paths difficult to negotiate. It would have helped to have started an hour earlier. Also it didn’t help having to dodge the fast 1 mile runners coming in the opposite direction in the last half mile. Having said that, it’s a lovely location and I enjoyed the race.

Fast & friendly course
Although congested in parts, and other areas crowded with disgruntled dog walkers, this was a good course. This is a brand new event, and I’m sure next year it will be bigger and better.
Hayley Moore
It has Potential to be a lovely course
I think this would be better in warmer months as the mud was really slippery in parts.
There were also too many dogs off leads in the narrower parts of the course that also nearly tripped up myself and others round the course.
Karla Larnder
It was a bit more of a trail run in pkaces.
I liked the diffrent events - so nany choices for people, Nice atmosphere, well organised.( might be nice to try the same route in the summer to.

Interesting
Consider starting at 09:00. This may help with less interference with dog walkers, prams, other users.
Several parts of course, runners and cars intermingled.
Those stairs over the railway were .... well, does not lend itself to speed. And that was an expected amount of trail.
Nigel Groves
Bit of everything
Fay White
Some parts were tricky
Ruby Harvey
Lovely first event - however, hillier and tougher terrain than expected.
Wish more info was available on the route beforehand as it was much hillier than expected with quite tough terrain (trails, stairs, train bridges to cross).
Also some quiet narrow parts with oncoming runners making it a bit difficult. However, lovely and scenic with great volunteers. Well organised for a first event.
