I think this race is amazing but a couple a few hazards to look out for 1.steps be careful going up and down them can catch you out 2.people that are walking watch out they walk in your path 3. A couple of bollards i nearly ran in to one overall good

Amazing team as always on a really good note there friendly and care about runners plus nice place to eat and drink

Well organised event

This was a new event and it was very well organised. The route was good, challenging in places, but easily runnable for people new to this distance.
It was quite a fast race, narrow paths in some parts of the seafront section but this didn’t pose a problem.

Not what I was expecting!

Like many others I spoke with today, we were expecting a flat out and back towards Seasalter, not the hills, mud, steps and bridges. Was also too narrow in places with the speedy 5k runners coming at us on our way out and some not really giving slower runners or pedestrians enough space or time to move. I'd do it again, but if it was just a 5 mile or longer between the 5k and 5 mile starts.

Organised event with friendly Marshalls.

Opportunities to improve
Post route in advance
Add some barriers towards the finish to avoid collisions.
Consider some route amendments as parts were narrow and lots of pedestrians and dogs to avoid.

Drink station to close to finish in 5 mile

Positives
Medal quality good
Lots of marshalls
Friendly
Registration easy and quick
Waves were a good idea and the different events

A 5K run (trail)

If I'm honest, I didn't enjoy the train Bridge crossing especially twice lol. The 2 small ramps needed something over them , not just having a marshal saying mind the ramp as not everyone heard when it was crowded there. Not great at the finish with so many people walking around for runners to weave around. Not your fault as it's a popular place to visit
