Would recommend this run is fun for kids to join or for you to run alone well organised and great atmosphere.

This is a great addition to the Kent road racing scene, as it's a chance to race a mile around the historic centre of Canterbury. The setting (within the King's School precincts and finishing at the nearby cathedral) and the organisation were outstanding. It must be a huge challenge to arrange runners into 20 or so individual waves based on expected finishing times, but I thought it worked brilliantly. The gaps between waves were essential considering the narrow, busy nature of the route and the marshalling was top class. Great support and 'detailing' as always from the whole Sporting Events team and it was also a plus to include an elite race as part of the package as it added to the sense of occasion. A definite 'must do' race for me.

Beautiful scenery, love the waves, might take a bit longer, but really was worth it, and thank all the volunteers who also gave their time, brilliant weather, and sporting event do them selves proud.

This is an absolutely fabulous race. As a lifelong resident of Canterbury, it is fantastic to have such a great event right on my doorstep.
There was a brilliant atmosphere at race HQ, and the seamless organisation showed just how much planning went into the day. It was especially wonderful to see families with young children braving the family mile.
I would love to see this event evolve into a longer race format in the future

The results show and celebrate the older runners with a category, but not the juniors? My 14 yr old was classed a SW

It would be even better if there wasn’t such a big gap between waves and getting the results out quicker would be good….it’s annoying to have to wait all day!

Really friendly, very helpful as I had to move waves due to my children having different waves (my fault) great atmosphere and loved the start! Refreshments available too!!!

Brilliant event starting in the Kings school grounds and finishing in the Cathedral grounds taking in the centre of Canterbury flat and fast mile.

Very frustrated that one of the marshals didn’t signal and stood in front of the direction arrows and let me run straight pass my turn with now instructions just stared at me only to be told after I had ran to another part of the circuit I had gone the wrong way went back down to correct corner to take she finally said something to me “ are you wave 2 yes I am you need to go down here “

Very frustrated and I came back with “ so why did let me run past and say nothing l “

great race, great location, great atmosphere, great marshall support. My fav race of the year. Only thing that puts a dampener on it, is the delay in results

Could the waves set off at regular intervals as there were some pauses and everyone was keen to start.

Fantastic event with a great atmosphere would absolutely do it again. Might be useful to have a distance to go marker for some of the younger athletes. Great Fun for all and something for everyone whether you're a competitive runner of doing it for fun.

Good scenic route, the route was very good to follow, sporting events are well organised, safe, good, supportive, friendly team, and all Marshalls have good encouragement and keep everyone cheered on, well done, a short route, probably a lot harder, but plenty of fun, and rememorable. Smashing medal for keeps as well
