At the end of the race I was approached by a Marshall who informed me I would be disqualified due to my headphones. At the start of the race, a Marshall checked my headphones and was happy they were bone conducting.
After running a lovely 10k and crossing the finishing line and being told this, it was very disappointing and took away that moment of success.

Everyone at Canterbury Harriers and SEUK is so friendly and welcoming and supportive, right through to the final finishers. I didn't feel like I was too slow, but encouraged all the way round.

Lovely run along the sea

I found the waves a bit unnecessary, and also the time between the waves wasn't needed as wave 1 with the faster people set off first so unlikely slower waves would catch them up. Also noticed that some of my running buddies were put in the wrong wave, hence potentially missing out on an age category prizes. Overall though a good course, well organised, friendly with lots of support.

Great organisation other than not clear on directions to Start line from Registration.

My first ever 10k, loved every minute of it - the volunteers and race marshals were awesome. Would definitely recommend it, the different waves at the start were very sensible

Could the finish be brought forward? Finishing on the car park with the open cobbles made it a bit interesting when trying for a quick finish
