Sporting Events UK
great location, very friendly organisers.
Fantastic route but with challenging hills
Hilly yet Happy :-)
Sittingbourne Research Centre (Hub) is a really pleasant, comfortable base from which to start.
Despite the challenging undulated route the miles flew by because there were so many friendly Striders along the route cheering and encouraging me along, made my day! Look forward to competing again next year, thank you xxx
Super 10 miler but oh the hills
My first 10 mile race in 30 years and I was the oldest one out there. Fantastic marshals who supported you throughout, well positioned water stations, even a medic on a bike which I had never seen before. The 10km and 10 miler started in waves, after the split I was on my own, lovely scenery but the hills felt constant, almost all up hill especially tough the one near the end. Lovely finish with lots of drinks and food freebies at the end. A lovely day.
Best local event
Fantastic route albeit undulating! Beautiful scenery and lovely facilities. Marshalls are all extremely supportive and create a wonderful atmosphere. Much appreciation goes to the homemade baking team and the after run massage people. A top quality event. Definitely be back again (fourth time) to earn a T-shirt and medal. Well done
Really well organised
I was really nervous but everybody made a point of saying well done on the way round and made me feel really comfortable. Having the juniors give out medals at the end was a lovely touch.
Really good event
A very challenging, but attractive course with nice scenery. Slightly shortened but that couldn’t be helped, and the organisers had clearly worked hard on the route. The marshals were very friendly and supportive, with plenty about to help the runners. It was also a very friendly event, with runners and staff all helping each other; which made for a great atmosphere.
The HQ was good too, on a nice site with nice stalls and facilities. Loads of cakes and refreshments from friendly people. Also it was nice trophy presentation at the end.
Even though this was a challenging course, that shouldn’t put off beginners. I would definitely enter this again
Very good Event.
Lovely scenery! Beautiful route along with a few very steep hills. Free Tshirt, redbulls, fruit, water, refreshments, home made cakes, biccies. Massages were available! There was a couple of stalls where i purchased some cool socks
Very well organised with water stations but some evil hills
The friendliest and best organised race!
Everything is well organised, thought through and the Sittingbourne Striders make it very special and friendly. Very positive and encouraging. Thank you!!!
A race that is well marshalled, fabulous cheer quad, amazing finishing medal and treats overall a incredible run
I Will always recommend this race
Wonderful event!
Really well-organised, friendly, excellent medal and t-shirt, tasty free food stalls, free after run massage from The Oast, good facilities, nice countryside route with some hill challenge to it. Thoroughly enjoyed the event and will be booking again next year!
Great event, very well organised
Very well organised, marshalls were really supportive and encouraging, great facilities and available goodies at the end. The route was just a bit too hilly.
Awesome
Great views. Some evil hills
Hilly but friendly
Super well organised with treats when we finished - awesome!!
Best local event I’ve attended to date - very well organised.
A well managed and supported event. Marshalling was excellent.
I will return
Very hilly but Marshall’s, mid race snacks, freebies and venue - amazing!
Organised to perfection
Best event I have attended in a long time, the organisers, marshals and venue were amazing, no stinky porta loos, happy friendly atmosphere, all marshals and event staff/ volunteers were super friendly and encouraging. The route was good minus the hills, definitely would do it again, not for the route but to support of the fabulous event.
Well organised
Was my first 10k , it was well organised, everyone was friendly and there was a really good atmosphere.
