A rare closed-road event and perfect for a PB.
What a well-run, popular, and thoroughly enjoyable event this is. So many runs take place on country paths, etc, so it's great to have an opportunity to run a 100% closed-road event, with people lining streets to give a wave.
It's flatish (with a few ups and downs) but nothing major so this is a great course to aim for PB, especially with some crowd support and a final finish on the track in the Julie Rose Stadium.

Organised and excellent marshalling.
Have run this for many years and always enjoyable over an undulating course. All roads closed and good running surface. Also can hear the instructions at the start and the waves system directs all to correct start position. Great. As an over 80 runner I think that those over 75 and 80 winners should be awarded a medal and some recognition in the results. There are many competitors and surely the organisers can afford a couple more trophies. Not that many can still run a 10k in the later stages of life.

Beginner friendly, but still a decent challenge
Well marshalled and supported, with clear instructions and a good atmosphere throughout. One to add to the calendar!

As I run this route most weeks, doing it the opposite way is easy, hythe road is such a long stint of a hill, easier the other way around

Really well organised, great turnout and vibe post and prior run! All the marshalls were brilliant.

Good course but there is room for improvements to make it even better
Pros
● The course has good and clear signage for each KM
● Marshalls cheering on runners were enthusiastic
Cons:
● Although the majority of marshalls/ volunteers seemed friendly, I asked a team member where I could drop off my jacket. Rather than advising the location of the bag drop-off point, he said he couldn't care less where I placed it and it was none of his business, which was rather rude
● The race would benefit from having more music, as headphones are banned.
● It would be nice (preferable), if there was a pacer for each wave, like other races.
