Maybe tell people the earphone rule on booking. I found out 5 days before the event and had to buy the correct bone conductors type. Newbies don't know these things, so maybe just a heads up earlier would be helpful.

Yet another successful event from Sporting events uk really well organised, friendly volunteers and great atmosphere especially with the pirates and cannon blast to set you off. The course itself is amazing with lovely views and flat so ideal for all runners just be prepared for bit of wind as rather open. Fantastic medal as well and really enjoyed my first visit will definitely return.

Smugglers has been my favourite event so far. There was a real sense of fun, great atmosphere and starting by cannon fire was a great added touch. It’s a fast, flat tarmac route “there and back”. Got myself a PB

First 5 k I have ever done with my daughter and I am completely hooked!! I will be back next year for the 10 k !!

Really well organised and great atmosphere. Thanks to the young boy who gave me my medal and even said “Well Done Good Run” so polite!!

Great for all runners. Nice out and back course. Atmosphere was good. Very well organised. Medal is nice.

Bonus not to have to worry about parking, I always worry about where to park and end up miles away to avoid the cost but This event is my favourite, and the toilets are good also another worry, but these worries are pushed aside and I have the time to make sure I sort me., so defo a massive bonus, I'll be doing this next year. And also the canons were fabulous this year,

A very enjoyable run - difficult run back to the finish due to the direction of the wind (so if you could fix that for next year - would be greatly appreciated !)
