Great route, nice event
Lots of marshals along the route so always clear which way to go - thanks to them all! Well organised, good comms, everything ran smoothly + tech worked well with times texted within a minute of crossing the finish line. Thanks for a good event.

Brilliant marshalls
At every marshalled point was encouraging and friendly words of support. As a first timer at this distance and with this organisation I felt my progress mattered it made me enjoy the event. Excellent organisation all round.

Brilliant organisation, excellent traffic management on main roads.
Marshalls were great very encouraging all way around. A good event , next time less hills please :-)
Amanda Harmer
Hard hilly HM but incredible challenge and spectacular views
Marshall expertly will managed for such a long run with country lanes to staffing major road crossing and traffic management
Sally Humphreys

Great event loved the hills
I loved this event. A few adjustments do need to happen to fine tune the event. I arrived on foot collected my number, walked around the park looking for bag drop even checked up at the toilets, but nothing. Asked at the number pick up point and was told they took the bags. There was no sign for this and staff did not communicate this when picking up number. Roads were not closed, at certain points runners were being squeezed with no foot path and cars coming before directions. I would be happy to pay a little bit extra to pay for roads to be closed
However I did love the event the course and the hills.

OK only
Having been to many half marathons in the uk and abroad, this was one of the smallest I have ever been to. Scenery was really great. Event organising somewhat lacked: poor comms; bag drop/pick up not sign posted and poorly managed. Lack of any sort of nutrition on course was also disappointing given the cost of the entry fee. As mentioned by other around miles 7/8 was a bit tricky with local traffic and not enough of marshals to manage that. Event village consisted of one food truck which again, a bit disappointing. Lack of additional toilet facilities and more marshals and music would have created a far better atmosphere. Park users not even aware of the race so it shows the lack of overall comma to participants and general public. It could be so much bigger and better…

Amy Buchanan

Scenic
Pro: Good water stop placements, great work by stewards, good course, excellent runners village. Cons: Around mile 7 cars on the country lanes cars where squeezing runners to the side a bit. Some congestion in front of finish line at times w/ runners that had already finished.

Tough route but excellent event
Tough, undulating course but a scenic route through Mote Park and along Pilgrims Way. Well organised and a nice souvenir medal.

Great first half marathon/marathon experience.
Was taking part in my first running event and found the whole experience very enjoyable. Thought the marshalling throughout the course was excellent and enjoyed the route, challenging but that's what you want!
Only slight negative on the route, was sharing the tight country lanes with local traffic, could be potentially hazardous and not loads of toilet facilities for the amount of people. But overall a fantastic event and would do it again!
