First time for me. It was something different and nice to forget about your watch and just enjoy the occasion. The tactical challenge was also fun - the most direct route was very often not the fastest and the trick was picking a line through the firmer sand and avoiding the technical rocky bits. The race started late but it was a glorious July morning, so no big deal. Overall, a very enjoyable race that's suitable for everyone.

A well organised race with a free ice cream at the end, what more could you want!

Please consider making this a cupless event - after the water station there were a lot of cups discarded on the beach. I realise they are probably collected (as they are with most races), but they were close to the tide line and could easily have been washed into the sea before anyone had a chance to collect them, which adds to marine litter and isn't a great look. Many longer races are cupless so it could be do-able for this shorter distance. This is a great Kent event though, and I love the ice cream at the end!

This event is tough running on the sand but a lot of fun. Very nice medal and icecream!

Tide times should have been checked for more accuracy-but worth the wait! Perhaps a bit tough going for beginners?

Was held up by the tide but that’s no one’s fault. It’s a lovely race . I use it as a fun run . It’s still hard to run on the sand tho . Thank you to everyone involved in setting it up and marshalling it .
