Darren Le Gallais
Great event but could do with an earlier start
More running and sport oriented stands in the events village… coffee and cake is good buy what about stuff people would buy… i.e. bib magnets, sweat bands and stuff like that
Thanks for the great review. You may have missed our runr hat stand selling a range of running hats! There are no local running shops for a wider range of products, but we do sometimes have other independent brands at some of the events we organise alongside our own runr hat stand.

Great organisation
This is a challenging route, very undulating but the marshals did a fantastic job keeping us motivated, and cheering us on. Great organisation from start to finish
Samuel Thompson
Beginner friendly
Well organised and suitable for beginners, as there are lots of marshalls helping with oncoming cars on the run, and plenty of food and water.
Deborah Dicker
A well organised run with plenty of space to run. Did not feel cramped or hemmed in at any point.
Parking easy on site. Good, clean facilities and friendly staff and volunteers
Robert Dicker
Well organised and enjoyable event.
Clive Robinson
Generally flat course with some undulation to deal with.
Nice atmosphere, well organised, lovely, well designed medal and quick feedback regarding your time. Nice cake stall and coffee stall, reasonably priced too.
Plenty of parking.
Richard Lees
Friendly, challenging and well-organised
Gary Dobbs
Great run great organisation
Sporting events are head and shoulders above any other race organisers
Janey Lowrey
Brilliant event
Outstanding organisation and management. Clear instructions given and friendly marshals.
Claire Smith
Great event
Simple route, great marshaling, good atmosphere and lovely scenery. Route is exposed and can be warm, but worth the effort! Will return

Wave start positive
The Cliffe woods 5 miler is a very good event. Local country roads, a bit narrow for first mile then opens up.
It's not flat.
I have a problem with Sporting events:
They stop results at 60+.
Why?
65, 70, 75, 80+ come on its 2026, we all count, we all train hard.
Charlotte Eaton
A well organised race, as always
My only down point is that the roads aren’t closed. A large portion of wave 3 got held up waiting for a tractor to turn in the road and had to stop for multiple cars in narrow country lanes. I was hoping for a PB but both of these factors meant I didn’t make it. And whilst I know this is completely out of your control, the race experience wasn’t as good as it could have been due to this.
Mick Miles
Loved the undulating course
Perfect all round. Organised brilliantly.
Julie Medhurst
Fabulous well organised road race on quiet country roads. PB potential
Well marshalled and organised
Francesca Bowdery
Fairly flat route with some ups and downs
Please have more rubbish bags for plastic cups. People were chucking them in bushes. Better to have a large open container/bin where cups can be thrown into easily on route.
Emma Miller
Fantastic event, very well organised and such beautiful scenery. Lovely medal too!
I was sad to see some runners not respecting the environment, throwing their water cups on the ground, maybe good to remind people before the race to keep hold of litter (not that you should have to!). Thoroughly enjoyed this event - thank you!
Graham Macfarlane
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very nice course.
William Whittington
Beginner friendly 5mile Race
Accurate mile markers. Another warm one with little no shade. Hydration is paramount at a excellent event
Andrew Burgess
Great event through beautiful country lanes - my favourite type of race!
I was pushing so hard, that I didn’t even notice the entrance to Cooling Castle. Could we do the loop in an anti-clockwise direction one year?
