Shiver me timbers - yo-ho-ho the Smugglers are back in 2024!

It's back and for 2024 we kept the option of a 5k. The 10k route follows the the seafront from Minnis Bay to Reculver, infamous for its smuggling in days gone by. Every finisher will also get a special medal commissioned for the event.

This route is suitable for both beginners and more experienced runners! There will be all our usual fun and friendly atmosphere. Bring the whole family and enjoy this lovely coastal location.

As with all of our events we organise, we will be using the very latest chip timing. We will be providing a live feed onto our website for results - so cross the line and your result goes live!

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female,1st Male and Female VET40, 50 and 60 in the 10k and 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in the 5.3k.

Facilities at venue:
Toilets, but no changing facilities at this location. Car park (payable locally). Full refreshments available on-site.

Entry fee:
10k Advanced entries: £21 affiliated club members, £23 unaffiliated
On-the-day (subject to space): £30 

5k Advanced entries: £15 affiliated club members, £17 unaffiliated
On-the-day (subject to space): £25

Advanced entries available until 1pm the Wednesday before the event (subject to space). On the day entries may be available subject to space until 9:30am on the day.

Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for this race is 15 years on the day, for the 5k the minimum age is 11 years on the day.
