Back in 2020 offering a 10k or 5k seafront run. This year the Rotary Club of Minster-on-Sea and Sporting Events UK have teamed up to bring you this great event.
The Island Run has been taking place for over 40 years in various formats and raises money for local charities in the area.
For 2020, the Rotary Club of Minster-on-Sea and Sporting Events UK have teamed up to bring you this great event. This year we will be offering a great fast and flat seafront 10k or 5k. This makes it ideal for those chasing a PB or great for beginners as well. We are sure you will love this route, which is sure to attract good numbers of runners and supporters!
The 2 mile fun run from Minster on the same day is managed by The Rotary Club of Minster on Sea and information for this is available at www.ptir.org.uk
As this is a charity fund raising event we would ask entrants to consider downloading the additional sponsorship form to support the Rotary charity (Number 1119547) so that they may support other needy charitable causes. They are also encouraging entrants to raise funds for their own nominated charities. All entrants who raise sponsor money will be entered into a prize draw, with an additional prize for the entrant who raises the most sponsor money for Rotary’s charity http://www.ptir.org.uk/downloads.html
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female,1st male and female VET40, 50 and 60 and a team prize (three to score).

Toilet facilities, but no changing facilities at this venue. Car park (charge payable at venue). Full refreshments including hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for the 10km race is 15 years on the day and 11 years for the 5km race.
